The Hotel del Coronado
Referred to by locals as "The del"
Last week I made my first trip {since moving to San Diego} to Coronado Bay.
Of course I visited the Hotel del. It's a gorgeous piece of 19th Century Architecture.
With its iconic red turrets reaching into the azure California skyline, the Hotel del Coronado radiates with a gracious Victorian splendor that has no equal.
Built in 1888, this classic beachfront resort near San Diego, California has long been heralded as one of America’s most beautiful beach resorts. A pronouncement underscored by its designation as a National Historic Landmark in 1977.
