A Long Time Coming ....

It's been a long time coming....
Since my last post I have finally arrived in San Diego.
Call me crazy, but some things just had to be done...
I've been here just two weeks, as of yesterday.

Can you believe that Thanksgiving has come and GONE!
In just one single month we will be looking into the face of 2012.
Unbelievable!
2011 has been an extremely difficult year for me and I won't be sad to see it go...

No more Way Too Long periods of time not seeing my daughters and my three handsome grandsons.

Though I've never lived in San Diego; California is home to me and I am finally home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been shooting since I arrived and have posted a few photos on my fb page,
but I haven't posted here in a very long time.
I'm still planning to start a new 365 very soon.
San Diego is home to Balboa Park, which is an amazing smorgasboard of photographic opportunities.
 I'll start with a few images from there..
.
I hope you enjoy my photographs, and Thanks for visiting.
Some of the beautiful Old  Architechture of San Diego.
circa. 1918
Red Passion Flower { Passiflora Vitriola }
If you've followed my photography for very long,
 you'll know of my affinity for  Old, Gnarly, Deadwood.
There will be many, many more of this type in the future.
Though this tree appears to be lying dead on the ground,
notice the new growth all along the trunk.
It's some type of Juniper ....
Can you look at this photo below and tell me there is no Creator?
This is the trunk of a dead palm tree.
It's been shaved smoothly in half.
The pattern and design inside is the actual trunk, carved by the hands of God.
This photo does not do it justice.
It's Amazing!
Red Spike of the Yucca family.
A red Crown of Thorns encircle this succulent Agave.
The Monarchs were out and about. They seem to favor the purple flowers.
