Sunset on the Queen Palm

More Sand, Surf, and Sky

The view from the pier at Marshwalk... Murrell's Inlet, SC
The goats and peacocks and myriad shorebirds are visible on this little Island from many of the restaurants on the Row, as well as from the Marshwalk and the pier.

Garden City Pier~August 010

Night view of Reataurant Row in Murrell's Inlet, SC

Sky, Ocean and Sand framed by Sea Oats

As I was shooting this, a guy came up and asked me,
if I was taking a picture of Spud's...
Spud's is the Restaurant with the lighted tower room in the far, far distance...
I just said "yes"... so.... this Spud's for You!
This is one of the first shots, while the sun was still setting.
And when I discovered the brown pelican preening and grooming himself on the pylon.
The light was very low and he was very dark.
I knew I wouldn't get a clear capture because of the constant movement
of his head as he groomed...
...but here he is in all his glory.
