Camaro SS ~ 1968 - 2010

The Chevrolet Camaro has long been, not only an American Icon, but my favorite muscle car.
The 1968 Camaro SS is a fine specimen of Automotive Design, incorporating Beauty and Speed.

There were of course other years in which the Camaro was still a great car.
In 1970 it was restyled with a longer, lower body.
Though the Camaro did somehow manage to survive until 2002 ...
By the early 70's it's sleek good looks were gone.
1973 - 1981
Regression, Regulation, and Recession
Tightened emission requirements and the energy crisis of the early 1970's are generally credited for the demise of this unique American Phenomenon....
In 2009 I saw a picture of a prototype Camaro..It was Gorgeous! But it never made it to the production line.
Finally, in 2010....it did!
And did it ever!
The next entry is the Beautiful, the Fabulous, Camaro SS of 2010.
It is missing the much coveted chrome of the late 60's and early 70's, but it is a Beautiful Automobile!

More Sand, Surf, and Sky

The view from the pier at Marshwalk... Murrell's Inlet, SC
The goats and peacocks and myriad shorebirds are visible on this little Island from many of the restaurants on the Row, as well as from the Marshwalk and the pier.

Sky, Ocean and Sand framed by Sea Oats

As I was shooting this, a guy came up and asked me,
if I was taking a picture of Spud's...
Spud's is the Restaurant with the lighted tower room in the far, far distance...
I just said "yes"... so.... this Spud's for You!
This is one of the first shots, while the sun was still setting.
And when I discovered the brown pelican preening and grooming himself on the pylon.
The light was very low and he was very dark.
I knew I wouldn't get a clear capture because of the constant movement
of his head as he groomed...
...but here he is in all his glory.

I visit this pasture quite frequently to watch and visit with these horses.
Of course, I always bring my camera and sometimes I bring apples or carrots.

This is a very common place for me to watch the Sun Set...
it's conveniently located and has open sky without wires to obstruct the view.
Sometimes there's a train going by too.

we have really been experiencing some righteous cloud art.
The sunsets are pretty amazing lately as well.
